The $6 billion Barangaroo redevelopment is replacing 22 million hectares of disused container wharves along the Darling Harbour foreshore in Miller’s Point. With preliminary investigative work beginning in 2010, it is expected that construction works on the site will be completed in approximately 2030. The site will include six hectares of natural parkland, 300,000m2 of confirmed new office space, new residential buildings and hotels, and a whole precinct still to be designed.
Surface Design have been engaged by Aurecon to provide ongoing Material Science advice in relation to concrete selection, joint design, water-proofing and insulation.
