161 Castlereagh Entry Tension Structure

Surface Design has completed the design of the steel cable tension structure which is fully glazed. The structure will be the centrepiece for the development which will engage the public and tenant ANZ. The developer is GPT and the architect FJMT.
The installation of the tension structure along with the glass and other finishes has been completed successfully and the tenants have moved into the building.
The complicated interfaces between the structure and spring box details have been designed and installed successfully. JML have gone to press recently in the Australia Construction Review (July 2013) detailing the positive way in which they and their consultants resolved these complex interactions in collaborative and inclusive process
